A thought has been on my mind for the last several weeks – new day, new opportunities. It seems like not so long ago we spoke of the New Year that was coming. Now one month of that year has already passed! Time keeps moving along…but with each passing day, another new day is on the horizon.
I do not know about you, but I will be the first to admit – some days as I sit back and evaluate the day that is drawing to a close, I see things that were done well and other situations that could have been handled differently. We are all human – we do things that we regret. But how do those things affect us? Those things that we regret should convict us to make changes moving forward. A quote often comes to mind:
“Only one life, ’twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last.” C. T. Studd
So how do we move forward? How do we make the appropriate and necessary changes that last? The key to moving forward is placing God first and forefront in each day – allowing Him to guide and direct that which is before! Seeking Him early in prayer and searching His Word for direction and guidance. A favorite song of mine is “Each Day I’ll Do.”
Being that change; being that difference you wish to see in the world.
When you look for opportunities, God gives them in so many ways. For me, I enjoy nursing school dearly, but some days are harder than others. But you know, some of my hardest days, turn out to be my best days. In more than one instance, God has used a patient to speak into my life as I provided care for them. No matter where God calls you, there is opportunities – seize the opportunity while it is there.
So as a new day awakens; as new opportunities arise; seek God and what His will is for you in that moment. You will be richly blest as you seek Him.
And speaking of new opportunities and changes, my life has recently changed ☺ I have recently started a new chapter in my life – a chapter known as courtship. Please pray for Linford and I as we continue to seek God’s will in our lives. We desire to have God first and foremost in our lives and our relationship. Thank you for praying for us as we look to God for His direction and guidance!
May the Lord richly bless each of you as you look to Him for guidance and direction in your life.
Until the next time!
