What is time?
Time according to Google is
- the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole
- a point of time as measured in hours and minutes past midnight or noon
So what is time? And what does time mean to you?
I don’t know about you, but it seems that time passes me by, oh so quickly. It’s “here today and gone tomorrow.” And as each day passes by, I am challenged with all that I have done or have not done in that day.
And deep done in, I want my time each day to bring honor and glory to my Maker. But I wouldn’t be honest if I said that I do that every day. Some days when I look back, I realize that I fell short of serving my Maker in my entirety.
So time – what is it to me? It’s the moments that come to us each and every day. It’s that breath we take each morning. It’s another day to impact another life. And once they are gone, they are gone for all eternity. That specific opportunity will never return. So step forth, seize the opportunity, and serve the Lord to your fullest.
In other aspects of time, it is hard to believe where the past year has gone. It was a year ago today, that we finished loading all our earthly belongings into vehicles and trailers to make a 2.5 hour commute to our new home.

This home had been our first home together as a newly-married couple. And when we got married less than a year prior, we had not thought we would move so soon. But God had a different plan in mind. And in His time, He revealed His plan to us and called us to move to northeast PA. He further revealed to fullness of His plan and will when our Lancaster County home sold quickly!
But a year ago today, we seized a new opportunity and asked God to direct and lead us in our new area. And allow to be a shining light for Him in our new community.

This place in Wayne County, Pa, became our new earthly home! And with it, came new challenges and new journeys. But still our desire was to honor and serve God with our time. As we continue to enjoy our time in our new area, we have continued to meet new friends and acquaintances! And our desire is to allow God’s love to shine through us in all we do.
So my challenge to you today: seize the time before you, serve God completely with all you do!
Until next time,
